Palaestra of Olympia

The palaestra of Olympia is located west of Altea, near the river Kladeos and outside the sanctuary. It was built in the 3rd century BC. and there the athletes trained in wrestling, fist and jumping. Only the lower parts of the building survive and from the 72 columns of the inner peristyle of the courtyard, 32 have been restored. This point of interest is Flat and Urban. It is accessible all year round. It is accessible through public transport. It has a fee or ticket. Winter Time: Daily, 08:30 - 15.30 High Season: Daily, 08:00 – 20:00 1/9 to 15/9: 8.00-19:30 15/9 to 30/9: 8:00-19:00 1/10 to 15/10: 8:00-18:30 15/10 to 30/10: 8:00-18:00.
