Ancient Aigira

Aigira was an ancient Achaean city built on the Corinthian-Aigialeia border. The settlement was fortified with a very strong order and the many monuments that have been excavated testify that it is a city with great cultural and commercial prosperity. Ancient Aigira was destroyed either by a tidal wave or, most likely, by a strong earthquake. This point of interest is Coastal and Rural. It is accessible all year round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. The place can be visited after contacting the EFA of Achaia.
