Inside the Duomo of Gorizia, the chapel on the left dedicated to Saint Acacius belongs to the previous fifteenth-century church, of which it preserves the valuable ribs of the vault, embellished by a fresco decoration that is still perfectly legible. Four musician angels can be admired elegantly circling the vault, alongside the four Evangelists. The instruments they are holding are the iconographic source of the collection of ancient instruments on display in the town's castle.
