It houses part of the important medieval book heritage originally belonging to the Collegiate Church of Cividale. Among the most interesting exhibits are ten codices recording the tradition of the Aquileian Discants, exemplified between the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries, and those containing liturgical dramas such as the Visitatio Sepulchri and the Planctus Mariae.
