The museum documents the long tradition of the Pesarina Valley in the art of watchmaking, specialising in the production of tower clocks for bell towers from the eighteenth century onwards, which later developed into the industrial production of the Solari family. Among the clocks on display are some interesting examples of monastic alarm clocks and domestic clocks inspired by the Black Forest tradition. A visit to the museum is punctuated by the ticking of clocks, which are still in working order, and the ringing of bells.
