The library collection is owned by the Abbey of Moggio and is named after Don Domenico Tessitori (1843-1922), curate of Moggio di Sotto, who made a decisive contribution to its development. A large part of the books that compose the library has come from Don Tessitori's personal library collection, which was incorporated into the Abbey Library after his death, especially the antique collection. It includes an important series of books on musical subjects.
