This prestigious Renaissance palace was built as a representative palace for the Venetian Giacomo Ragazzoni, a sixteenth-century merchant of the Serenissima who, thanks to his skilful negotiating and diplomatic skills, established relations with the great powers of his time. His fortune and achievements are reflected in the beautiful frescoes decorating some of the palace's rooms executed by a pupil of Paolo Veronese, which are now occasionally used to stage musical evenings.
