Municipal Library of Patras

The Municipal Library of Patras was founded in 1908 and is the first municipal library in Greece. Initially, it was housed in the dormitory on Gounari and Karaiskaki streets and in 1955 it was moved to its current facilities, in the impressive neoclassical building at 110 Maizonos Street. It has about 200,000 volumes of books, newspapers and magazines, many of which come from donations. This point of interest is Plain and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
