The agriturismo is located in Monteveglio, just over 20 km from Bologna, in the middle of the hills of the Bologna Apennines. It was born in 1992 when we decided to renovate the "old" barn of our country house. With us you can find a family atmosphere, large outdoor play areas for children and relaxation areas in the countryside. The kitchen is full of recipes handed down from grandmothers... from tigelle and crescentine to tagliatelle and pasta to the press... all handmade!

The Azienda Agricola

We cultivate everything with the utmost respect for the environment, according to the biological method, a type of cultivation that only allows the use of natural substances, that is, present in nature, excluding the use of chemical synthesis substances (fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides).

We have our own vegetable garden for seasonal vegetables and we follow appropriate agricultural techniques such as crop rotation.

Also our vineyards are all organically cultivated and the grapes are carefully selected and harvested by hand in crates. Our wines are all DOC, that is of a controlled designation of origin to ensure a quality product.

Our cuisine

From a land rich in culinary traditions born our way of kitchen. We can serve you three kind of home made pasta every day!

As second or complete and tipicall lunch we have fries "crescentine" fries and "tigelle", accompanied by cold cuts, cheese, arugula,olive oil and pickles(red onions,olives and mushrooms),pesto with bacon garlic and rosemary, "friggione"(mix of coocked vegetables), sausage stewed beans, jams and chocolate. Sunday lunchtime we also have rabbit sauce.

Even the dessert are homemade and vary according to the evening: tiramisu, panna cota with blueberries, chocolate cake with mascarpone, tart with jam, chocolate salam and cokies. We prepare four of theme every day.

We are now available by reservation to arrange lunches for ceremonies and parties.

The rooms

Our rooms are four and are characterized by the colors: we have the red room, the yellow, the green and brown. The furniture inside is made of wood and is matched to the color of the room.

They all have private bathroom, air conditioning, TV, internet wi-fi gratis, hairdryer, mini bar and safe. Two of them, with sofa bed, are suitable for families with children. The green room has a bathroom for disabled access. We elcome your four-legged friends!

What’s in the area

Nearby you can visit the medieval village of Monteveglio, dominated by the ancient Abbey, which was built before 1000 and became the propriety of the Countess Matilde di Canossa. The village in the center of the Regional Park of the Abbey, 900 acres of wood, fields, vineyards and gullies.

In the center of Bazzano instead, you can visit the Fortress of Bentivoglio also of medieval origins. Legend tell that there is an underground tunnel that connects Monteveglio's Abbey to Bentivoglio's castle in Bazzano. In the galley there would be the hidden treasures of countess Matilde.
